I'm looking for some British and US Tankers ETO 1/35, can anyone recommend some good plastic kits?
I use my figures only to make my armour look better, not the other way around, so I don't want resin figures that cost 10 EUR a piece.
I saw that Dragon had a kit of US Tankers, but I can't find it anywhere. I also saw that Gaso.Line makes great looking tankers, but they only are in 1/48 scale. It would be great if Gaso.Line made the same figures in 1/35 scale.
Thanks!
Dave

There're no British ETO tank crew in plastic apart from those supplied in kits. Tamiya did release the newer crew figures that came with the Churchill VII as a limited issue, but that was some time ago and are probably unobtainable now. BTW, Gaso.line don't do any ETO British tankers, you have possably mistaken the Dartmoor Military Models sets, which Quarter Kit/Gaso.line sell.

I was especially referring to gaso.line for their US tankers. Squad 48 seems to make some nice British tankers, but again, 1/48 scale.
How all those nice figures only exist in 1/48?
But to be clear, I'm looking for both British AND US tankers.
Thanks!

Hi Dave,
As Geoff says, no British Tankers in 1/35 in plastic, other tham the ones that come with the kits. Ultracast have a nice range in resin. I think I have a Dragon figure in a pixie suit I haven't used yet if you get really stuck.
Cheers
Al

No there's nothing in plastic other than the DML US Tank Crew which may be OOP but shouldn't be too hard to find

Gaso Line figs are metal and in 1/35 would cost $10 or more -would you still buy them? There are some metal 1/35 British figures in the Takahishi figure range.
I'm afraid the only way to go is resin though I have high hopes of Masterbox releasing a British Tank Crew.

Only a limited number of pre-painted figures are metal, all the rest are resin.

Gday David
Don't discount resin figures from your equation. There are quite a few you can find that would really enhance your tank. I reckon a poorer plastic tank crewman detracts from a well finished tank. For example, the new Tasca M4A1 Sherman in my opinion has a poor representation of a tank commander included. This kit is gaggin' for a good resin figure!
Whilst the Dragon US tanker set is a good one for 'bulking out' a tank display, I reckon a single well sculpted resin figure will enhance just as much.
Have a look at Warriors, Lincoln Line, Alpine, Ultracast. All are of different prices, and suitability, and when viewing some that you like, post again asking if people had purchased these particular figures and what their thoughts were on them.

So i did decide to buy some resin kits of US Tankers.
I bought a US tankers kit from Verlinden and one from CMK on ebay.
Although this was my first time working with resin, building was very easy. Alas, none has any instructions on painting...
So, if anyone could help me out here, I always use Tamiya acrylics.
Thanks
