The pictures are bit too small for me.
Love the idea of planning dios using this tool. Keep us posted when you begin with the real thing.

Simon, they're thumbnails - click on the images and you'll see them full size...
Chris, nice work! That large structure is going to need an AWFUL lot of brickwork..
Why not consider it as a gate in a walled-town? Here's a good example (of the town I live in)

Hey Chris
Nice work on the art there mate.
It does look to be a good backdrop for an enclosed scene. As Jim said there will be an awful lot of brickwork, and maybe you need to break up the expanse somewhat with something else?
The shopfront(?) looks good, but you could maybe even lose the support columns? They may intrude on the building's ground floor detail
Good stuff

I think it looks good, but a few points to consider:
Angels - carefull with anything parallel to the sides of the dio - the house and citywall, try something a bit more than 90 degrees to make it impression less rigid.
Balance - I might be afraid that the heavy citywall will be too dominating compared with the relatively light and small structure of the house - something you can work with either dimensionally or with your choice of colours.
Nice 3d work!
Cheers

Hi Chris,
Excellent 3D work.
Not sure if it's the route you want to go, but VLS does something very similar in their custom dioramics range, might be a time-saving option.
It's no. 1160 Village corner arch ruin.
There's a pic of it on the Netmerchants site here:

I like the concept and composition. The big wall is a little void of details and gets attention because of the imbalance.
Maybe add some drail pipes, and carved stone details, arch details....

Nice 3-D (SketchUp no?).
Two points: more and heavier detail / coping around doorways & blank walls and consider making some type of mold (or you'll be carving bricks for weeks).
Overall, good idea & nice layout.
Now don't you wish you had a 3-D color STL printer - You would be finished already.

Hey Neo, yes it is sketch up the best program ever for free! Very easy to use and it helps having a 3D model before i begin the real one. Time effective to since I have maybe 3 hours in this drawing.
Ive done some renovations to the drawing and am starting to finish it up....still a ways to go though.
Here is a new pic.
