In my travels I've seen several style that CF uses. In case you didn't get it, I've posted a another current one below.
TV and radio spots apprise the local citizenry of what to do when they encounter military vehicles, pull all the way off the road when possible, and turn on the flashers.
Since they can't read the signs when we approach at max speed, my crew dispenses with them altogether. A nice burst with the .50 serves as a gentle reminder to pay attenton.

Can we keep it on topic please?
Pictures of warning signs are what the post is all about. Any comments, or anecdotes are for another forum...
Thank you
Henk

I wonder how many innocent civilians get "gently" killed this way...
This is **VERY** offensive for everyone who considers Iraqi people human beings (obviously not the poster I'm quoting), but my guess is that Armorama won't censor this post like it did mine where I was questioning the choice to build a model of something this controversial.
Don't tell me, you will censor me again, and yet 18Bravo's utterly disgusting post will stay... It would be fine with me if you removed both.

I have locked this thread (not censored it), as it seems impossible to just ask for the requested images, without it repeatedly going off-topic. The rules are pretty clear in this respect, but for those requiring a little more subtlety, I'll explain.
This is a model building site. We build models, some of which are related to some of histories most gruesome periods. Building these models, does not mean that you condone, or condemn, the relevant historical facts. In this light people can ask questions in the Forums to explain, or clarify, a question related to the model that is being build.
We do not discuss the right or wrongs of history, for the simple reason that that only leads to argument, and discord. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter etc... If you look at history, all our ancestors have at one time or other been engaged in dubious behaviour, indeed without it, we would be rather short of subjects to model.
As for discussing current political affairs, as we are a world wide website, with members from every religion, race, political background etc, that is a sure fire way to argument. We do not discuss current political affairs. As for (personal) anecdotes from members who are serving, or have done so in the past, these have a place in their own forum, Soldier stories. These should of course not 'discuss' the political conotations of their current deployments, and should remain within bounds of reason. If these anecdotes get to opinionated, or gruesome, we will deal with them.
For once, I will elaborate on the posts involved.
18bravo's comment regarding the ' burst with the .50 ' did not imply that the burst was aimed at the locals. I would imagine that the burst would be aimed higher up, something that the locals are only too used to, if their 'celebrations' with the use of single handedly fired AK47's are anything to go by.. I (or Armorama) do not condone such behaviour, and I would prefer if such remarks were kept out of this forum, as it only ignites the argument. I stated this in my request to stay on-topic. It is however not so offensive as to merit being removed and he does post a photo of the sign as the original question requested.. The response to 18bravo's post by t34-85 does not answer the question, but only seves to start the argument again. Again, the post is not offensive enough to merit being removed, and after all you are entitled to your opinion, but not in this particular forum.
Thank you.
Henk
