The Dragon kit already comes with a pretty extensive PE set. Some say most of it is the Eduard UH-1C set. The PE in the kit should get you what you need. If not, the Eduard UH-1C set should fit in it fine too. The Huey you have pictured is a UH-1H model though, it even says UH-1H on the B pillar in the left side picture. Dragon doesn''t tell you, but their kit can be built as a D or an H, depending on which parts you use. The H has the roof mounted pitot tube and towel bar and blade antennae. The D model had the antennae and pitot tube on the nose. Check this thread for a run-down of D and H model differences. Also, check out my White Sands UH-1H SAR build for more details too. The Dragon kits blades are incorrect for both a D and an H as well. To fix them, you need to remove the spine along the trailing edge (the red area in the below pic).

Lastly, for more info on helos and more answers to your questions, take a look at Aeroscale's Rotary Wing Forum. There are lots of great guys there with good info.

Thanks Gino,

very good info and superb looking Huey you did. The only think i need now is some time to build it . I have seen the PE set which comes withe the kit only on pictures. but good to know that the other set could be used too. The conversion set from Cobra Company looks very good but iīt s expensive and i donīt need the doors. So for these few parts itīs to much money. Many thanks Gino for your help and these good information with the D/H version.

Greetings

Stefan

The two items that I think are definitely needed from the Cobra Company interior set are the B pillar (short fuselage section behind the pilots' doors) interior details. The kit doesn't have any details there, when in reality it is a boxed in structure with lots of detail. Send Cobra Company an email. Chris is great and will sell individual pieces from his sets.

Good luck.
