Hello, guys! Could someone please tell me what sort of glue does one use to glue camo net (mine is Verlinden's) to a painted vehicle? Thanks in advance for your answer!
Cheers and happy modelling!

If it's the cloth kind of camo netting try liquid starch. Pour a little into a small container, put in the netting soak it good, ring it out the excess, and lay it down where you want it. When dry it will stiffen and stay where it was. It useally forms down right on the model. I never have had a problem if it gets on the model, drys clear and works like a matt finish.
If it's that plastic type of netting good luck.
And instead of buying it, some bandage material, and cheese cloth works pretty good. It's white but I lay it against some cardboard and spray paint it what colors you wish.
Hope this helps.

Get a piece of cheesecloth, heavily dilute some white glue and add a few drops of green paint. Dip the cheesecloth in it until it has become fully coloured, remove it, wring it out and fold it to the shape you desire. Place a piece of saran wrap over the vehicle where the net is going to go, and lay the net on it (as it dries, it will assume the proper shape). once it is dry, lift it off and discard the saran wrap...secure the net to the vehicle with white glue and then drybrush. Add a sprinkle of ground up herbs (chervil works for me) and there you go.

Thanks both for your replies!
Bob, do you know any special brand of liquid starch? It would be easier for me to look for it here in Europe!
Dave, What sort of white glue do you use? Doesn't it get glossy or white?
Cheers and happy modelling!

hi prato
i have used verlinden camo netting before and all i did was to dilute some white glue (it doesn't matter what type i used my sons school stuff) with warm water place the netting onto the model then painted small amount's of the thinned glue onto the netting.leave it to dry over night. if it needs some matt varnish then do so and then you can give it a light dry brush.
if its the same as the netting ive got (No.0042) it is a khaki kind of colour and looks good straight out of the packet.
