This is the second announcement in a week when I discussed the subject with a manufacturer at Nuremberg.

Great thing is (with the 203mm), naturally enough, the manufacturer who was seriously considering doing it WASN'T Trumpeter...

Do I have some kind of strange power?

You do seem to be on a roll, o'goggled-avatar-one. For the hat trick, what was the third kit subject you discussed at Nuremburg and the SECOND manufacturer you discussed it with?

This is interesting to say the least, but, what happened to the other news that TRUMPETER was releasing the MODERN ITALIAN CAR, cant remember the name of it. But I have looked for more news on it and nothing.

Anybody hear anything on it ?

It's a beautiful thing, and as it was apparently in use all the way from the Finnish front to Berlin in 1945, there's no end to what you could do with one.

IIRC several were captured by the Germans and were sent to France where they were captured by British/US forces?

US forces - IIRC there's a photo of a GI looking up the barrel of one sometime around the time of the Bulge (and it's likely that's where the APG one was acquired).

I can't believe that Trumpeter WON'T announce a tractor for it...

Announcement in the next week or so?

I'm not really much of an artillery man - is this the big gun that appears in an oft-seen piece of contemporary combat footage filmed in the 1945 Battle of Berlin?

If so, it'd be a must-have for the stash.

- Steve

They appear a couple of times in this film, together with a wide range of other Soviet artillery
