All,
Can anyone recommend a good reference for exterior/interior detail photos of the T-55A?
I'm trying to build an Iraqi version of the tank if that helps. I'd really like to get my hands on the Wings and Wheels reference, but don't seem to be able to find one anywhere.
Any help appreciated!
John

Here you have some info:
http://svsm.org/gallery/T-55-family Specially this:
http://svsm.org/gallery/T-55_little?page=1
I haven't checked these, but I think there must be some:
http://www.primeportal.net/apc/t-55.htm
BTW... The pics last walkaround in this page are all mine... I've also taken some interior shots from the Peruvian T-55, but I think they can be useful to you as well, because I've seen Iraqi (and also Syrian) T-55A model 1970 like Perú's (with welded loader's cupola and T-62's AA machine gun mount)... Well actually I don't know if the Iraqi T-55s have a machine gun in the glacis, but Peruvian T-55s absolutely have it... Tell me if you want the pics. Hope this helps. Most regards.

Try a forum search for details.
I assume you'll be using the Tamiya kit?
For a correct polish/ czech built vehicle there are several detail differences, fe change the rear most engine grates. The right one has a "step" in it. Eduard makes a set for this, TP043.

Jose,
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction - those are great pics!
Do you have any that are not part of the walkaround? I'd appreciate whatever you are willing to share.
Thanks!

Well, these are the best pics I've taken... One year after I took those pics, I've taken some some, in another Festival, by that time, the T-55s were re-painted in a sand color. There I took some interior pics. I haven't uploaded them and I think I will not do that, so if you want them, I'll send you to your e-mail... Just tell me if you want them. Most regards.

Hi John,
If you want to get some really good T-55 reference material ...get both volumes of RossaGraph T-55 monographs #'s 9 and 12.
With both of these volumes as reference, you cannot go wrong!
I did a chapter for the Osprey T-55 modeling book a while back and both were quite a invaluble reference in getting interior and rear deck sections correct.
Best,
Nick Cortese

Nick,
I ordered volume 1 and 2 today! I have the Osprey book and you did some _great_ work there. I am really trying to do some things extra to build my skills up. Any pointers would be very much appreciated!
