Hi Guys (and Gals),just gotten Trumpeter`s 1/35 scale STRV 103C off E-Bay,was reading through the destructions when i came across a set of bars located on either side of the hull, with smaller bars sticking off at an angle, also located with them are two beams with what like rollers on them.
Can anyone tell me what these are used for ?.
Anyone...............................Bueller ???????

It sounds like you are talking about the flotation screen system and the mechanism for raising and stowing the flotation screen.....the tank could swim by track propulsion when the flotation screen was erected.

If it's parts C32, C34 and C36 the are infact for the flotation screen.
If you want to model a vehicle on normal manouvres I'd leave them of.
Also leave parts C6 thru C14 (assembly step 20) and part C33.
Part B3 is a folded chimney for the gas turbine exhaust in it's bracket and only the bracket should be used if you are to make the model without the flotation screen brackets but that can be harder to fix.

Thanks for the info Swede,But i think i`d like to leave them on as they add to the character of the model, but it`s still nice to know what some thing actually does.
