I finally got my base dimensions right (5X7). Got the ground work down, and routed a hole for my schwimmwage (sw) to sit in.

I then painted the base coat for the water and base coated the ground work. I am experimenting with "Weather It" for my pier color. Not too sure about that yet. SW is assmbled and partially painted. Figures are not ready yet. Next I will pour resing for water. Here are a couple of pictures up to this point. Still have a long way to go, but I think I'll make it.

More to come later.

Looks great. That little lip on your mount gives you just enough room to pour your water.

Looking really good so far. I think the dock looks especially good at this stage. Can't wait to see it after the water is poured in.

Very good job. I think you're making great progress.
What product are you using for your water? I've been doing a lot of testing with 'Casting Resin' in the blue and white square container. I recommend you test a bit on an extra piece or some sprue to be sure you don't get any 'meltage'.
I found out today that Casting Resin and clear windshield material don't mix.

Good job. Nice to see an update.

Looking awesome so far Patrick. One comment, shouldn't the schwimwagon be sitting slightly lower in the water?
Anyways, awesome so far, especially the planks on the dock.
Where is it to be set?

Thanks for the comments guys. A few answers for you....
I used a product called Weather It. It is over in the railroad isles of the hobby shop. It is a stain so that the wood grain is not covered. The pier is actually balsa wood. I do plan to use the resin in the blue and white can, but have no experience with it. I hope that after the water is poured, the SW will be low enough in the water. If not, we'll say he has too much air in his tires.

PLMP110 - As far as depth of the SW. My first thought was that they were hitting shallow water after fording the river and the wheels were taking over.
