In a short while, (I hope) I'll start working on a Tiger I. I spent twice as much $$ on AM parts as I did on the kit (don't tell my wife) and I want to do it right. I found an abundance of info on how to assemble fruilmodel tracks but not much on painting them. If anyone could give me step-by-step instructions on how they do it I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm doing my first Friul tracks too, and I read in a book I have, (forget the title and I'm at work), that some use a metal blackener like the kind used in model railroading. I bought some of the stuff yesterday and plan to use it on my tracks. In the book, the solution gives the tracks a nice dark finish with alot of depth. They then use simple washes to addd rust and grime........they look really good. If I remember after I get home, I'll reference the book.......wait, I know where I can find the title......hold.................

OK, I think it was Verlinden's book called "Panzer Tactics" that had this technique.
Good luck,
