Here is a pic of the one I commanded in Iraq. Only one I have right now. Good luck with your 1114, hopefully a dedicated M1114 kit will come out sometime soon.

Here you go:

Commo set up, and FBCB2:

Note missing seat cushion to accomodate combat loaded soldier:

Here you can see phosphorous grenades used to destroy gear in an emergency:

These are converted 40mm ammo cans which hold .50 ammo. Note how they are marked so that gunner can place them correctly for proper direction of feed. The blocks on top and in the foreground are called BA 5590's. Big batteries to power the Hellfire:

This shows the removal of the rear seat cushion. Note the amount of dust INSIDE the vehicle:

I hope these will help you out.

Yikes!! I don't know how comfortable I would feel driving that Humvee in combat with a WP grenade right next to me. Was that a unit SOP or standard on all Humvees?

Regards,

John

Anything that would cause the WP grenade to go off as a secondary would probably destroy the vehicle anyway.

We used 550 cord in the front windows to make a "shelf". On the outside corners we would have smoke/frag/WP easy at hand.

Great M1114 interior pics. I was thinking of sealing mine up but seeing these pics makes me reconsider. The inside door detail, are they Frag five doors? The cushion removal in the back, was that for clarity or were they routinely removed because of the bulk of the gear soldiers have to carry on them? What's normally carried in the back of these contemporary 1114's, I understand if you can't say.
You are generous with your pictures, I'm sure everyone appreciates seeing working vehicles.
Thanks
Bill

Bill,
Yes, these are the FRAG 5 doors. The inside is perfect for your recent project. We remove the seat backs to have more room. We've got some pretty big dudes on the team, and all the gear doesn't help much. Generally an interpreter, if we take one, wants the seat cushion left in.
As for the back, well... You've seen the weaponry available to me. Additionally, several flats of water, not boxes, just the flats. POSSIBLY one box of MRE's, unless we're gone for extended period, then we'll have more. All of our go-bags are in the back as well-small assault packs loaded with extra ammo, grenades, radfio batteries and such. Depending on the mission, you may also find the mine detection box, shovels, the Carl and ammo. At least one vehicle will have slave cables in the back, and a bottle jack. The bumper jacks you see on HMMWV's are worthless. Even so, we carry one of those as well.
Apparently tankers love Pepsi. We have never taken a box of Pepsi out on a patrol, regardless of length. Occasionally we might take out a few Rip its. We favor water for obvious reasons.
Put a few small black packs back there too. We use them for different things...
There are also components for the jammer in the back, just black boxes really. Can't think of much else, except dust. Lots of dust.

Almost forgot. If there's room, and it's going to be a long trip, a folding chair or two:

And for the younger guys, a sleeping bag:

Another rare shot of one of our M1114's. We usually just roll with the M1151's.

Fantastic shots. Great breakdown of the contents too, thanks for that. Looks a tad chilly in the mornings (or evening) and you pretty much out in the open with the scorpions aren't you? Ever see any wildlife other than the bad guys that is? Keep the pics coming, always good to see the landscape for dioramas too.
Thanks and stay warm.

Funny you should mention the scorpions . These were within feet of where we slept. We dug them out with cleaning rods in the morning. The bad guys remain the only wildlife, but are nearing extinction.

Ok... very interesting. I never had a problem w/ grenades or other pyro but WP always made me nervous. Never liked being around that stuff. Just me I guess...
