I tried enlarging it and it just blurred. The cover artist on Squadron's gun truck book simply covered the area in dust.

Hello miloslav, I entered Gun Trucks in the search function of this site and found "Gun trucks of Ambush Alley". Unfortunately it didn't help much. There were no pictures of "Black Widow". But I didn't see those markings on any other Truck, they might have been peculiar to that particular truck. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Miloslav,
I don't know if you have a copy of 'The Hard Ride vol 1' by James Lyles but Black Widow is featured in it. Sadly I don't own a copy myself so I can't tell if the photos will tell you what you want to know but you could try emailing James Lyles and ask him if he knows? I have sent you a PM with his email address in it for you.
I hope this helps

Just a guess, it might be the names of crew members.

It can be vietnamese names from battle or ambush, like the inscriptions seen on the early Eve of Destruction doors :

This is James Lyles, author of The Hard Ride; Vietnam Gun Trucks. The information you are looking for is at the bottom right of page 47, Volume One.
The Vietnamese printing was on many gun trucks and roughly translates to mean, "Pedestrians and traffic please stand clear of truck sides"
