Hi,
I believe most of us has had this experience upon inspecting kits we buy. Though the best way to solve it may be to return or go for better after-market stuff. Anyways, has anyone tried correcting warped plastic? Are there techniques for this, or is it just not worth it.
Thanks

hi, try joining the 2 halves let them dry then dip the barrel in hot water, straighten , then cold water, you might have to do it a few times till you get it straight but hopefully it will work, cheers Bob.

Hi...
The best method to solve this problem is to carry the warped plastic barrel to the nearest trash receptacle and drop it into the trash.
The next step is to buy an after market metal barrel.
I generally buy after market barrels for all my tank models. I have no patience for removing the seam from plastic barrels. I've done it many times in the past and only do it now when absolutely necessary.

Thanks guys -- two differing views in handling the situation. Will try to work on it first as suggested before committing it to the bin. Cheers
