I found this on the Tamiya USA website today:

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=89770

It looks like it will b e a well done kit judging by the pictures. I think it is a good subject choice as well.

About the British Staghound Mk.I
The Ford Motor Company originally designed the T17E1 4X4 armored car to meet a U.S. Army requirement. Powered by two Cheverolet 270 engines, the vehicle was armed with a 37mm cannon turret and 3 machine guns - one in the hull, one coaxial with the main gun, and one on the turret for anti-aircraft defense. The arrival of the lighter M8 Greyhound meant that the U.S. Army was no longer interested in the T17E1, but other Allies such as Britain and the Commonwealth forces found the vehicle useful and named it the Staghound. They entered service in Italy in 1943and served until the end of the war. After WWII, they still saw action in areas like the Middle Eastand Central America with various armies.

Tamiya sells Italeri kits in Japan (and elsewhere?). This is one of them.

Hey Brent,
Here's the review from PMMS:

http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/tamiya/tam89770.html

It will be interesting to see how it prices up against the Italeri kit.
Cheers

John, it's actually more expensive than the Bronco one. Unfortunately, you'll HVE to replace the barrel...

Here's a FULL build of the kit from António Pires Preto:

Hey Jim,
Yeah, I followed Antonio's build of the Italeri Staghound.
With all the extra goodies, the Italeri kit costs $61.00 CAD at my LHS.
The Bronco kit is a wee bit cheaper at $59.99 CAD but is harder to get.
Tamiya America has the Staghound available for $66.00 USD.
I'll probably look into getting the Tamiya kit from my LHS if the exchange rate between here and the USA doesn't make the price too outrageous.
Either way, I'd still have to find a cheap replacement barrel.
Cheers
