I was just asked by a friend if there were any pre-assembled, workable tracks on the market, similar to Fruil but without the need to assemble. My only idea was soft "rubber bands" like to old Tamiya motorized kits with poly cap attached wheels.
Does anyone know of such a creature? :-)

Hi A.J.
I have been to all the hobby shops in my area. And I have never herd of, or seen any thing like pre-assembled tracks. All I have seen need to be assembled in one way or another.
Good Luck!

I might be totally wrong, but i saw some tracks from AFV(?) in my local hobby shop, and i thought it said on the pack that they were workable! They were boxed as just track assemblies and maybe they were just the molded type as comes in most kits, but i was led to believe they were something resembling what you asked about!
The package was a bubblepack with cardboard backing. I never investigated as i was not interested at the time. needless to say they are not there anymore. I am curious about this now as well!

Yeah actually it was something like that. The cardboard at the back was a lime-green colour and white and black (I think). Maybe just a different set of the same idea!
I know for sure the price was around 100sek or $10 so, this would be similar?
Something in my head says it had working tracks on it though!

Geoff,PB,The key word in the ad was "cement needed"
To me that means it may be 2 strips of flexible track, and you glue the ends together.
Al,the only complete circle of tracks I have encountered, are the tracks on my 1/16th Tamiya M-4(105) HVSS. Those came preassembled. The builder puts them in place, and tightens the idler. How prototypical.
