Hi Everybody,

I wonder has anyone got some info or possibly a photo of a Crusader in service with the Wiltshire Yeomanry, Warwickshire Yeomanry or 3rd Hussars around the time of second Alamein. I've looked high and low and can't find anything. Lots on the Sherman but it is a Crusader I want to do!

Any help would be fantastic,

Many thanks

Hi Lee,

Go to the Imperial War Museum site and select photographs.

Type in Crusader Tank, Select B & W and , World war 2 - lots of images there.

Here's one from 16/5 Lancers at El Aaroussa during the drive for Tunis 1943.

I found a good few Crusdares on IWM, most donl't have the unit or division stated but there are some 4th Armoured ones. There are about 1500 pics under n Africa start your search around 750.

Alternatively type in Crusader Tank, I found some there as well.

This is the Crusader Mk III Cursier Mk VI at Bovington. The camo scheme is typical of N Africa.
