Hello
Yesterday I found a picture of M1128 Stryker MGS on
www.defenselink.mil/.../hires_080212-A-77077.jpgI have three questions:
If US Army steel test this model of Stryker or normaly use it in Iraq?
If slat armor is the same as for M1126/M1127?
If they mount a space armor on M1128?
Thank you by help

1st answer: no this vehicle is in full swing and issued out to units. It is currently in use here in Iraq.
2nd answer: The SLAT armor for the vehicles are diffrent from other versions so that it can still traverse its turret a full 360 and shoot in all directions.
3rd answer: is classified what kind of armor it has. It is not allowed to be talked about becuse if the enemy knew what kind of armor it has then they can develope weapons to defeat the armor and destroy the vehicle.

Ric,
Is the gun shield for the .50 Cal now standard for the MGS used in Iraq?

if the gun shield you are refering to is the TAGS then as far as I have seen, and I've not seen all the MGS's over here, the answer is 80% yes.
