Hi there,
i am planning to do a current LAV-25 from Iraq theatre. Most of the photos I have seen show that the LAV crews wear a standard uniforms with tactical vests. My question is...

is it possible they also use the tankerīs overalls. I have Verlindenīs modern US tankers, but I am not sure if I can use them in this case

Thanks for any help.

Regards

Jiri

I have seen pictures of LAV crews wearing tankers overalls. So, you could use those verlinden figures you were talking about.

The Marines in MND-N wear the tan tankers' coveralls.

Not without modifing them, if they are the ones I've seen. Verlinden's had the old PAGSAT vest. Very different from the ones used in Iraq now.

Heres the crew of this particular LAV-25. You'll notice the guy on the turret with the tankers overalls and new style body armor.

I was assuming these were the figures you were referring to....

Hope that clarifies what I was talking about. Warriors actually makes an LAV crew with nice details. You may want to consider picking the set up. https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/1554

Dear all,
thanks a lot for all comments. Sorry, I just found out my figures are Alpine Miniatures not the Verlinded. I checked the vests and they seem to be very similar to what I saw on real pictures and yes your are right the Marines overals are usually tan, not green.

I think I will use them without updating ... itīs a hobby, isnīt it?!

I don't know if they'll pass inspection then. Do you really want to get caught with non regulation uniforms?

Dear Kent,
last question ten. This version of vest...

...would it be an acceptable version for the inspection officer between 2006 - 2007???

Thanks for your info

Jiri
