...A Halftrack Group Build. I know Chad (generalzod) has mentioned the idea before. I was very excited about it and I have talked to a few other people about the idea who have wholeheartedly supported it. It could either be very specific, ie. only German Sd.Kfz. 250 variants, or more broad, ie. 250-251 variants, or broader, ie. all german variants or most broad, ie. all WW2 halftracks.
I know everyone may be a bit campaigned out at the moment but we could do it after the summer. Tell me what you think,

Andrew

I say go for all halftracks, such as the Sdkfz 250/251 series, the M3, etc. and not limit the era (Israeli M3 would be allowed, for instance). My 2 cents...

I'd go for all halftracks and eras. There are too many 18-ton hunks of steel around though

You anti-german armour infidels. I really want to do just German halftracks but I am flexable. We will see what other people have to say.

On second thought, I'd like to stick to the 250. I want to do a captured one in OD :-)

I do like that one too.... But please do it after the summer (actually Sept 21)... I do have some other kits to start and finish (and a lack of space to have dozens of unfinished kits hanging around). I especially like the Flak versions....

I like the idea of 'track build... there's a picture of 251 with a Volkswagen welded(?) on top to fool the jabos that looks like fun, and I have VW kit in my stash....

I love the idea! Let's go for germans only. This way we can have a clearer picture of the half tracks from that era and individual ways to paint each model. Sounds fun. Count me in.

Okay, it seems like only German Halftracks and I would like to make it only Sd.Kfz. 250 and 251 series. Tell me what you think.

I have just ordered my halftrack for Operation Barbarossa... it is going to be a Sd.Kfz 10/5 (Italeri 10/4, converted to a 10/5).

I am not sure yet what to do for this one... if I can get my hands on a Sd.Kfz 7 I would like to d a Sd.Kfz 7 with 20mm Flakvierling... Otherwise it probably would be the Demag D7 with Pak 50.

To my opinion, there are much too many campaigns scheduled already. Too much water may drown the fish (I think I just invented a new expression, but you understand what I mean...).
I think those who feel the urge to build a 250 can do so in the Barbarossa campaign, that will only add to the number of participants, and make it more interesting.
