Warriors are very sharp as are Alpine Miniatures and Ultracast. Hornet resin headsets are very good but I think their figures are in white metal (Haven't bought one in ages so I could be wrong)
I recently got a couple of Nemrod and Platoon figures and am very happy with them.

Hi
there are many good resin figure manufacturers,. You've already mentioned Hornet, which if you buy plastic figures you should consider replacing their heads with Roger's excellent replacements, that's apart from his figure range. Historex are agents in the Uk.
You also have Alpine Miniatures. http://www.alpineminiatures.com/index.html
I have yet to see a negative review or comment regarding the quality of these figures. UK availability is AFV Modeller and I believe Netmerchants.
Tank models are also a good choice, from AFV Modeller although not all stocked.
But you could do with searching on the net to find other makers which you may like, such as Nemrod and MK35.
Warriors, or should I say VLS Warriors, check out their range again at Netmechants
Pegaso, again from Historex, in fact they have one of my all time favourite tank crew figures PT034

Gday Jimmy
This topic can be a little subjective. As mentioned there are some really good companies out there, with prices that are generally competitive (with other resin manufacturers)
Some lack certain qualities compared to others. ie. accuracy, pose, detail, so it may help to tell us what you have in mind as a pose. This way people can draw on their own purchases or knowledge in helping you locate what you require...
Hornet are generally accepted as the best in regards to head sets (often used as the 'cherry on top' of standard plastic figures )
Alpine as mentioned have a great range which is cast in beatiful resin to work with.
(his factor is not often mentioned, but some are made in hard brittle resin which can affect the clean up if needed)
Warriors have the biggest range that I know of.
Mk35 have some quite original stuff.
Nemrod great detail but relatively expensive
Custom Dioramics also a good range
These are just a few. Why not try here

The resin heads by Hornet have to be seen to be believed. Absolutely gorgeous.
Plenty of great figure makers to choose from these days.

Hi Jimmy,
When I started with resin figures I started with Verlinden. Now I consider them crap.
You also have WWII german figures from HobbyFan. I have ten vietnam figure sets and ordered today another ten. They are excellent quality.
In my opinion the best is Alpine and after that you have Hornet, HobbyFan and Tank. The best prices you can get in HobbyFan sets is through luckymodel (around 12€ a set of 2 figures including S&H) (some times some vehicles can be gotten cheaper through ebay).
The best heads are Hornet (resin) and you have plenty of different sets. The problem is the price (in Spain 10€ although I´ve been able of getting them for 8€ with S&H through ebay from a british shop (I think they sold the sets cheaper than the recommended price from the manufacturer)). Hornet has some resin figures (at least the latest products references because I have two in resin). Don´t know whether they keep producing most of their figures range in white metal or not.
Have a nice day,
Angel

I have worked with Verlinden, Warriors, and Carter & Crowley . I think all 3 are very good . Cant wait to get some of the others like Alpine. They look to be of very good quality also . just my 2 cents worth. milvehfan
