Hi
Can someone tell me what the general consensus is for the proper installation on vinyl tracks. Assuming that the tracks have been painted and weathered and ready to install. Do you build the tracks...melt the nipples together.... while they are on the tank? ....or are they melted together off of the tank and then stretched to fit the tank?
Thanks

Normally you leave off the sprocket or idler wheel or both. Heat connect the tracks, fit them around the suspension and then place the sprocket/idler on. Of course this is tougher if the tracks have side skirts like the M1, but I still do the same thing, I just place the side skirts on after I build the running gear.
