I am seeing ads on ebay that state aluminum barrel and rubber tires. Are these AM parts or standard in the kit?

Those are standard in the kit.

This is an excellent kit. It was a joy to build. Also, now that Hobby Boss has their high speed tractor out you have a prime mover for it.
