Hi Guys,
Thanks to Pat's picture in a previous thread, here is some progress on my Dingo: Lacking dust and decals and a bit of tidying up it will represent a vehicle from 9th Armd Bde, 2nd NZ Div aorund the time of the 2nd Battle of Alamein. Would anyone kow the distribution of these vehicles within an Armd Bde at this time?

Very nice Alan, I really like this kit and your treatment of it. Although this is one of Tamiya's older kits iyt doesn't take much TLC to really improve it. Couple of the WEE friends desert tankers would look good beside this.

Hi Pat,
Many thanks. This one is about 15 years or more in age lol, lol so I thought I'd try and do it up a bit and try out a few of the White Ensign paints. It will be going onto a small base with and equally ancient carrier and the new Academy Grant. I think either this one or the carrier was the first 1/35 British model I ever built so both seemed worth saving.
I might use a couple of Pete's figures in this one although I had been saving them for my Sherman III and now possibly the MK I1 DV
BTW are there any good 75mm ammo boxes and shells around. I have the 2 ammo loading crew and they might work for the Grant. The new Nemrod tankers are also possibilities.
Cheers

Thanks Guys,
The kit is at least 15 years old and I though it might be time for a make over
I just need to get confirmation on the AOS for the Royal WIltshire Yeomanry at Alamein Oct/Nov 42 and add some radio headphones and a couple of small grab handles. (Good wife broken my drill bit, don't ask lol, lol and a replacement has only just arrived).

Hey Alan,
Looking good, I really like that old chestnut but it's over 30 years old.
I really wish Tamiya, DML or one of the "other guys" would do a new kit.
FYI - along with a number of other useful bits and pieces, Verlinden includes two 75mm ammo crates in this set:
http://www.verlinden-productions.com/vp_htm_0001_0600/0346.html
With all the stowage boxes and .303, 25pdr, 105mm crates, it's really handy for British/Commonwealth vehicles.
Cheers

Hi Mark and John,
Thanks for the feedback guys. John a new kit would be good, I think the scale is a little out but not 10% sure. Still it's a fun build.
