Has anyone bought these figures?
I did and am a little confused about them.

I have them, but haven't built them yet. The quality looks a little better than earlier Trumpeter offerings. The weapons and gear look pretty good. The rubber torsos look good, with fine details in the moldings. I have heard they glue fine w/regular model glues. The PE headsets and boom mikes are nice. They look pretty usable to me. We shall see.

I was confused about this set too. So, those black rubber "jackets" are torsos to be used instead of the other plastic ones which are without the bullet proof vests? (or whatever the correct name for them is)

Yup, the rubber torsos are the ones to use. They have the newer (now replaced by a different version) Interceptor Body Armor System (IBAS, pronounced eye-bass). Apparently, the soft rubber allows better definition and crisper details, so they say.

I bought two sets for the weapons and equipment only. I thought that the bodies were not to scale and did not fit in with the resin figgies i am using( much smaller in stature). Thats my two cents worth here.

Maybe not, but I find most resin figures are too large, closer to 1/32, esp. Verlinden's figures. Also, remember, people come in different sizes; height and stature wise. A little variation in figure size is good as well.

Thanks everybody.
I was pretty sure the rubber torsos were a choice, but the box makes no reference to them.
I also found the scale to be be a fair amount smaller than any 1/35 figures I have used.
This was also comparing them to other Trumpeter figures I have.
