im working on trumpeters m1a2 and i was wondering about the internal apu location and are there any external parts ? such as a exaust pipe? where is it in the tank? just wondering TURRETTOAD 13 OUT.

From what I've read and a few pictures I've seen, the UUAPU is in the left rear corner of the hull. The only really visable external change is the deletion of the fuel filler cap on the left rear corner of the engine deck. The UUAPU was put in place of a fuel tank, thus the change. I can't guarantee that's all, but that's all I've found so far.

Having never dealt with the SEP, I had to look up the information in the parts manual. There is an exhaust duct that looks similar to the one a household clothes dryer has on the outside of your house. It is located between the left taillight guard and the left hull lifting ring.

thanks for the answers . got another silly question whats the small vent pipe at the right rear turret sponson box for? looks like a vent but the only thing thats under there is the semi-ready 120mm ammo just wondering TURRETTOAD 13 OUT.

Turrettoad13's vent would seem to be the same vent we were talking about, on the right rear corner behind the sponson box.

It is a third antenna mount.
