It hasn''t exactly been ignored, but the Vietnam War still remains an area which some of the Diorama manufacturers could do more. With this in mind, we bring news of a recently-established company who will be specializing in Diorama materials for this period - MecModels. The full report can be seen:

I'm happy to see a new company dealing with this era, although there are plenty of people doing posters and boxes, some of the examples here look interesting and new.
I like the look of the gravestones and the wall and arch, I think if they look to do the unusual rather than the run of the mill like everyone else they will have a market to sell to.
I have bookmarked their site already and will order from them I'm sure.

This is all very nice stuff, from an underrepresented period. I especially like the Vietnamese gravestones. They are beautifully cast.
Here are some ideas: how about some ARVN and PAVN stuff? Some stowage and decal sets would be good. Trumpeter's 1/35 PT-76B just cries out for some PAVN decals and stowage (although happily we have a Dushka machine gun w/ ammo, PAVN tankers and VC flag to dress it up). I've never seen any ARVN tank crews or South Vietnamese flag decals available anywhere.
