I'm looking for a high quality Axis tanker watching the skies with binoculars. Have looked at TanK and MIG but nothing apparent.

The dragon kit with the tankers looking around (cant remember name) was pretty good, a good starting point for some resin noggins and careful painting.

ACHTUNG JABO!!! thats it.

I know of a few in plastic. One comes with the Tamiya Wirbelwind that is scanning the skies. The other is in the Tristar SP Gun crew that is looking straight on. There is one in resin by Warriors that is an SS tanker holding binoculars. Also, Verlinden set 2118 "Watch the Sky" and Verlinden set 1189. Verlinden 1189 has a German tanker looking up with binoculars in it.

Hope this helps!

Hi

Check out the VLS Warrior range if you want to go resin. Might be part of a set though.

Alternatively have you considered taking an existing resin or even plastic figure (with Hornet replacement head) and modifying it ?

Also some pretty decent figures from 'Royal Models' and 'Warriors' as mentioned with either looking or poses that would require minor modifications. Maybe one of these could work for you?

The Verlinden set looks promising if the dude with the binocs will fit in a Pz. IV cupola....

I don't think my skills are up to modifying an exisiting figure. The anatomy of the human body doesn't mean just bending the neck back, and then there's the "fall" of the fabric.

Hi Buddy, the Dragon set of figures you`re looking for is titled "Achtung Jabo".
This four figure set is a late war panzer crew that shows in various poses and expressions you`d use when you go "what`s that noise?".
It`s a pretty good set without any additions and goes together well,i`ve used them myself on the back of a Panther G so i`d recommend them to you.
However i do`nt know if there still production.

Chris, I sent you a PM.

The Jaboi figures are still around. They look promising. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check out the Azimut site, too.

I have not seen anything looking over their offerings. Do you have a particular figure in mind?

Also, I know it's plastic, but Tamiya has two tankers in summer attire looking up for Jabos in their late Panther w/steel wheels.
