Do I need to clean frets of photoetched parts with something before assembly? I seem to be having trouble getting the brass parts to stick to each other with superglue. Thanks in advance...

I never have and haven't run into any problems. I use a glue called Hot Flash which I found in an RC shop that, IMHO, works better than Zap and it dries in about 1 second.

Thanks. Maybe I'll try some new glue...

I usually don't clean PE parts. I rarely use superglue too to fix them, but when I do it I just sand the parts where they are meant to join with very fine grain sand paper. Usually to fix them I use a 25 watts solder and a drop of "Flux" that's an anti-oxydant liquid I buy at hardware stores, the joints are much stronger and if you have to insert something in the PE framing i built (like jerry cans, MGs, etc) it's almost impossible to break them...

Blast is far a lot easier of what you can imagine and the resuls are far a lot better in my view. Is just matter to give it a try and you'll see that's not more complicated than doing with superglue...

I have found washing the frets in metholated spirits then scratching the back where I wish to put super glue on helps the glue to bond. :-)
