Hi guys,

I would like to know which set do you recomend me to detail AFV Club Aussie Nam centurion. I´ve seen Eduard has a few sets, Voyager Model has a set and Firestorm has some sets.

What other aftermarkets exist for it and how good are they? I will get AFV Club individual track links set.

Which one produces a correct mantlet cover?

Thanks in advance,
Angel

Mouse House Enterprises out of Australia hase some upgrade/detail sets for them. Firestorm Models, also from Australia, has some sets too.

AFV Club makes a vinyl mantlet cover for it too. You would need the type A cover. I reviewed them here, check it out.

Angel,
I used the most of the Firestorm update as well as selected pieces of the Mouse House update on my Aussie Centurion. I highly recommend the Firestorm products for casting quality as well as customer service... The FS update includes a resin mantlet that looks the part. I have both AFV Club mantlets and really do not like the flexible plastic parts. The Mouse House products had some parts that the FS set did not however; mine had some bubbles in the parts. I did not use any PE on my Centurion, so I will not comment on the sets. Depending on your references, MH has a good set of decals that include some duplication of markings found in the kit but of better quality.

Send me a PM if you would like to see my attempt to recreate the tank "The Very Diabolical."

If you want to spend the money i strongly suggest to use fruil track.
They are better and stronger than plastic link track and having rebuilt the old tamiya kit with
the legends set I found the track withstood a lot of punishment picking the model up and placing on the workbench.

Hi
Mouse house have just released another Vietnam update for the AFV Club Australian Centurion. It consists of left and right replacement mudguards that represent the late quarter inch steel plate mudguards that replaced the pressed one that were easily damaged by traveling through jungle,

Also included in the item are left and right faces of the stowage bins that are reinforced by US style pickets. Both these parts are particularly suitable for "The very Diabolical" as seen late in the Vietnam war.

Check the cataloger item MA127 www.mheaust.com.au
