I am going to try to airbrush Testors Acryl for the first time. Any advice? Pressure? Thin it or shoot it straight from the bottle, etc. I thought I heard somewhere that you supposed to be able to shoot these right out of the bottle without thinning. Thanks in advance.

I shoot them straight from the bottle all the time. You may want to add some extender to it. It dries almost the instant it exits the gun so you will find it collecting on the tip of your needle if you spray a lot of pieces at once. Semi-Gloss Black seems to the be the biggest offender of that for me. You can thin them if you want. I've started to just to make my paint bottles last a little longer and give me more control over paint depth, so the preshading shows better. I spray about 15-18 psi.

LIke TF I go right out of the bottle, some of the lighter colors (and even colors like Dark tan which I use as a base for some german camo) may take 2 coats of paint as it can be thin. But overall these are really nice paints and I like the finish I get with them. They also mix easily and have a little wider range than Tamiya, which is my other primary paint.

Thanks guys. That will make my life a lot easier. Every time a spray oil base paint "She Who Must Be Obeyed" gets a tad upset.

I spray them all the time straight from the bottle, at about 20 psi. The only thing I've found is that they do tend to dry in the brush, and can couse the brush to clog sometimes. But, since i started using my A470, i don't have as much problem with clogging, seems to happen more with my Badger 175. Don't ask me why, but it's true...

Sprayed some last night and it worked out great. Thanks for all the help, guys. I love that stuff...
