I am currently building Tamiya's lovely M26 Pershing tank kit, and plan to build the USMC version used in the Korean War Inchon landings. Trouble is, the kit figures have "buttoned-up" tunics, and the picture I have of the tank crew in this very tank in Inchon (from one of my books on armor of the Korean War) shows the commander and loader with open tunics. Does anyone produce figures (or torsos) with the open tunics as depicted? Thank you.

Try Verlinden. They have a few USMC tanker figures and if those don't suit you go for their figure conversion set. They have shirtless and open shirt Marines.
To be honest the model world is lacking in Marines! I have had a tough time tracking down any kind of USMC figures for any time period.

The book I referred to earlier was Concord's "Tank Warfare in Korea", and the picture I mentioned is on page 28, top left. The commander, on the left, has a buttoned tunic but is bareheaded, while the loader next to him has a tank helmet (WW2 pattern), but a wide-open tunic showing his T-shirt, which looks like brown rather than white. Surprisingly the driver's hatches are still closed up.
BTW, I saw the tanker set on ebay that you show in your top picture, so I placed a bid. Thanks for the info.
