Heya, Folks,

Does anyone have the Tankograd "IDF Armoured Vehicles" book...? If so, is it worth the money...?

And what are the pictures of the Achzarit like? I am a little tired of seeing pictures of the same prototype vehicle and was hoping to see some new shots of the production vehicles...

I'm debating whether to invest in this book or save up for the Bronco LWS.

Thanks, folks!

Regards and Aloha,

Johnny B.

Well, I wouldn't know the difference between a production and a prototype Achzarit, but the pictures in the book show them running around on a training ground and looking pretty dusty. There are 16 color photos with no interior shots. No combat shots.

If you're looking for Achzarit pics, try here (IDF In Scale Forum)
http://idf-in-scale.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=100 If it doesn't show up, you might have to become a member to view the forum.
And if you have time, go through the Military Photos.Net thread (all 110 pages of it!):

Thanks, guys! I'm still unsold as to whether to buy it or not... Wish I could paw through a copy to see it for myself. Given that it is on the pricey side, a look see is usually the deciding factor...

Maybe someone at a model club near you has one. If you're in Silicon Valley, you could look through mine.

Thanks, Gary! Much appreciated... Maybe my next trip down to Brookhurst Hobbies in the O.C. --- they've got a great book selection.

Regards and Aloha,
