Here are pictures of the 1/35th scale Tamiya M26 Pershing that I completed in May. This was a marveleous kit. It went together almost flawlessly.
I only had two issues to tackle on this kit. The first issue was the heavy mold seams that I had on the towing cable. It was difficult to clean the seam up and still maintain the texture appearance of the casting.
The second issue was the star decal on the back deck. The rear deck decal is manufactured with the center open. When you place the decal, there is a hole in it that the filler cap sits in and the hull is visible. To overcome this "hole" in the center of the decal, I airbrushed the open area Model Master flat white. Fortunately, it is the exact same color that is used for the printing of the decal. I got the decal to adhere to the contours by using microsol and microset.
I replaced the kit .50 cal with a Verlinden resin .50. I replaced the kit tracks with Fruil white metal tracks. I used "blacken-it" to color the tracks. All stowage was part of the kit.
My one regret is that I wished I had glued the supsension in place. I left the suspension moveable (just for the novelty of it).
Without further delay, here are the pictures.

I like it, have one of these glaring at me out of the 'stash. The tracks look good, I was kind of suprised that you replaced the tracks but didn't use a P.E. set on the light guards though. All in all I think it looks really good. Well done.
P.S. love the woodgrain on the boxes. amazing.

Nice looking Pershing. Think your fading and weathering came out great, nice job with the road wheels and tracks. Thanks for sharing your pictures!
