Yes, was used in Vietnam. And I believe is still being used by some countries, like the phillipines.

Nice model and Looks to be something that is missing from the Vietnam War.
I remember that only Verlinden had one years ago.

I wonder if that is the same Cockerill 90mm that is mounted on the Indonesian Scorpion.

The V100 was used in Vietnam but sadly not the V150.
It's a nice looking model and hopefully they will release a V100 version soon?

I have seen pictures of the Military Police using them in Iraq as well, you definitely want to pull over when you see this beast running you down for speeding.

So, the "706" is the one used in Vietnam!
Thanks for the correction. Hope the Vietnam version comes soon afterwards.

I think essentially it is the same Cockerill Mk.3 M-A1 90mm gun....but on the Scorpion 90 it appears to have a different muzzle brake and a different dust boot.

The V-150 in this configuration was used extensively by the Saudi National Guard and figured heavily in the fighting to retake Khafji, RSA from the Iraqi 5th Mech, Div. at the end of January, 1991. There are some pretty good pics floating around out there showing these at that time.

No, what you saw were M1117s. A newer and related vehicle, of the M706(V-100
Is this the vehicle you're talking about? I think someone said t's suppoesd to be a future release by New World Miniatures.

I could see picking up one or two of these. I wonder how much work I'd have to do to make one of these into the old "Dragoons" we used in Kings Bay? The turret would have to go, but I think it would fit the bill pretty well.

You can see it without joining. It has five photos. Three of the sprues and two of a half mounted kit. At their web page hit gallery and at the end you have it.
Here is the hot link to the gallery page . Look by the end.
