hi there guys reading through some infortmation i found german cavalry in normandy? were they runners or was there a cavalry division in normandy?? i cant find the page again as my comp crashed as i was rreading through it :@
i have bought the german cossack cavalry set by dragon and wanted to convert them maybe have the germans walking along side the horses out of a barn or away from a fence where they were tied up for a break....
luckily enough my mum has a horse herself so im alright on the photo etch parts except for the odd bit which we both cant understand where they would fit :S
what colour would the saddles be?
and the tarp that goes underneath it be?
thanks in advance
Tony

Hi there,
According to my research, saddles should be painted in a brown leather tone, and the tarp underneath should be a greyish tone, but it will be variable due to weathering.
Hope this helps
Cheers.

The 'tarp' is called a saddle blanket...

You could also look for Dragonīs Florian Geyer figures .... maybe a bit more suitable than the cossacks?
