Can anybody...you guys...give me close-up reference photo of tank tracks attached to a Sherman hull???

For tracks attached as extra armour, the method of attachment is by welding the guide teeth to the tank, virtually without fail. Usually it is all the drive teeth, very infrequently it is by welding just the top few teeth and letting the rest dangle free. I don't have a photo handy, but thta is how it was done.

Thanks for the tip Paul.....your words just fine......greatly appreciate it.....Have another question though to add up.....how about sandbags around Shermans....do they just lay it there around or somethings holdin it that will not fall

Sometimes they lay there, jammed between the normal tank fittings (light guards, lifting lugs and the like) witht e weight & natural conformaty of the sand making sure they don't come off and sometimes they are secured by wire or rope, like the rest of the stowage, to the same features on the hull. ANything along the vertical sides is secured, frequently by a welded steel frame and sometimes just with wire or rope. Here is where specific photos are really necessary as the methods & application varied a lot.
