I recently purchased Bill Chilstrom's new fiqure conversion book. He did not mention how to or what kind of glue is used to attaach armature wire to torsos, sleeves, ect. I'm interested in what other members use.

Mike to attach the armature wire, use a twist drill to make holes in the parts, fill with CA glue, insert wire and hit it with an accelerator ( if you use it. some folks dont like it) ...BTW I really like Bills book. there some neat tricks in it.

Yep ca works mate. I haven't the book, but do a little sculpting and have found that a medium ca works well. If you are sculpting onto an arm for example you can add ca to the whole arm and apply a rolled out 'veneer' of putty to cover it. Let this cure and you'll have a good putty (instead of wire) base to work your folds onto later. Add Vaseline to the join areas and add ca to just the inserted tip of the wire if you need to remove the limb or head again.
Whups! Sorry Michael I have just re-read that it for figure conversion, not sculpting per se...
Cheers
