This is my third historical AFV. Still needs a little work (damp mud, scaling the foliage and a base).

Really interested to get feedback.
Thanks for looking.

From what I see it is a great model, Great Job!! The camo is nicely done, and the weathering is very realistic.

One thing I could say, is you should get a backround so we can see the true detail of the model. A darkblue bendable cardboard is what I just bought, it really focuses on the model.
Here in america it is easy to find in an arts and crafs store. I dont know where you would find it in England.

Again Great Job!!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll see what I can do today and get some better photos and try to show some detail.

Very nice work. I like your camo pattern. What brands and colors did you apply?

Thanks,
the base was Vallejo mid stone, the others were Tamiya - green was khaki drab, the brown was flat brown.

After filters and fading and dusting and everything else they look quite different!

I've taken some (hopefully) better pictures.
I've had to add a curve layer in PS to remove some of the bleaching caused by over bright light.
Hopefully the detail is clearer.

Jon -

Great looking King Tiger, nicely done. Like your ambush pattern, came out great! What was the technique that you used? Nice weathering and tracks, you did a fine job with this kit.

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Cheers -

Thanks Tim and Johnathan.

Technique for the camo was pretty straightforward. The base colour of mid stone was sprayed all over, then the green and brown added. I didn't mask, just got the settings on my airbrush finely controlled to keep it need and avoid overspray.

Next started hand painting the spots. I decided they would have been done the same way on the real thing so I wasn't too worried about absolute uniformity. Still it was a bit worrying halfway through, it looked very dotty! Once I was used to it though the undotted turret looked very boring.

After that it was pretty normal, filters, washes and fading before weathering.

Hope that sheds some light on it.

Thanks again for your kind comments.

It looks nice, but Tiger-B's of that production run were all finished in hard-edge camouflage pattern.
