i am wonderign the best way to do the camo on the hetzer thats on the way, it looks like it could be tricky , i have a badger 250 ab, i was wondering how to get the blu tack method to work, when i put the tack down it leaves a greasy stain, is there any other way

If you search back there have been a few Ways.
I used Silly Putty but does not do well with PE.
Again pull a search and some good ways will come up.

If you want really sharp edges you could use masking tape, Tamiyas for example. I'm not sure which specific camo you're aiming for though. I tried blue tack when doing ambush camo on a king tiger and almost went nuts, but in the end it turned out ok I think, just be sure to save some mixed color if you mix it to correct it a bit when all the tape is removed.
I worked like this:
1. Yellow over all
2. Tape over the areas that are supposed to be yellow and/or brown.
3. Spray the green.
4. Remove tape, and cover the areas that are green and yellow that you want to keep.
5. Spray the brown.
6. Remove the tape and use smaller bits and pieces to fill out the areas that doesn't look ok.
If little yellow is present, try starting with brown as base color perhaps. I ended up with very little yellow on mine, so it felt a bit like a waste of paint afterwards.
I hope I was answering the correct question

I'm in the middle of moving at the moment, but I'll see what I can do. Or if the result scares you away

Ok, I dug up som pics, sorry for the lousy quality, I used mobile phone camera with crappy lightning.
Step one, yellow/light brown tone as it seems they used:
Step two and three and stuff, brown after green here. I put the tape together in chunks and then used a scissor to make the edges look rounded and stuff:
And now finished with some added touchups. I went over it again and added paint where it felt like it was missing, first with tape + airbrush and then with brush.
So, what I learned during the time was that if I mix paint I should save some of it for later use. There are color variations now which can be seen if looking closely.
Also this method takes quite alot of time to cut the tape to a decent shape (as can be seen, it's not perfect, but I'm still newbie and I'm doing it for fun!) plus figuring out how the third color sections should be taped didn't always go as expected. And getting the seam between the turret and the chassis didn't work that well either.
Anyways, good luck, hope this helped!
