Just wanted to share some pic's of my most recent build Tamiyas Willys Jeep.

I was given this kit about two years ago for my birthday by my girlfriend, along with a couple of other's.Got about halfway done when her cat decided that he wanted to add a little battle damage. After picking up the pieces I put it away in a storage bin were it stayed till about three week's ago.Instead of tossing it or just using it for parts I decided to have a go at it for two reason's,this would be my first U.S. veh. and I was'nt gonna let that cat win.

I had to scratch a new wire cutter,I think the cat ate it, and the front wheel's had been broken off by the above mentioned feline also so I reattached them with a slight turn.I also replaced the glass for the windshield with some vacuform packaging stuff. It's more to scale than the kit supplied one.

The figure is from the kit with the addition of a Verlinden head and hand's.The netting on the helmet is from an old holloween coustume. The ammo belt's and ammo box's are from the Acadamy US machingun set the rest is stuff from my part's bin.

Gotta tell ya I really had fun with this little guy and I plan on picking up another one.

Excellent Steve. Love your updates to the jeep, but the figure really lifts it to the top. Gives the jeep so much character.

Very good work Steve. It's a sweet kit to build isn't it? I like the finish and all the stowage too.
