decal removal?

hello everyone,i was wondering if there is a way to remove old decals from a model. is it as simple as getting the model wet? thanks

hi rob, have you tried sticky tape, press it onto the decal firmly and pull it off fast , or a bit of micro sol / set , or try scraping it off very gently . hope this helps.

Tony has it right. Tape should pull the decal off without much trouble. If there's a clear cote over them it might take more effort but tape has always worked for me.

Rob,

A cotton wool ball dipped in nail polish remover (acetone) will always do the trick - however be careful the paintwork under neath might also start to strip - sometimes older decals will shift with isopropyl alcohol
