Hey, guys!
Finally, my first finished model in years!
As you can see, I tried to make the trees a bit more "realistic".
It's supposed to represent a tank in training somewhere in Northern-Russia in 1993.
Oh, and don't mind the wooden base, I still got's to varnish it.
Cheers,
Marek

Well Ketchup cannot be used to produce mud
The mud can be done by mixing PVA glue water + sand or dust + Tam paint like earth or nato brown.
you applied it on you MBT with an old brush.
Then we it is dry you can drybrush a bite and apply a coat of gloss, if the mud is wet if it is a dry mud not need of gloss top coat.
Leave a mat one.
Here the color look like a mix of ketchup and meat, sorry mate but you need to clean it with warm water, and do it again.
A part form the mud, it seems that some details are missing on the T-72 like painting the lights.
If the small white spots are snow flakes, you should remove the one from the engine deck = heat.
heat + snow flakes = water.
Anyway, it look promising
Cheers

Thanks for the advice, Seb, actually the mud just wasn't dry yet, and I was in a hurry, so I couldn't wait until it dried, now that it has dried, it looks more darker and more of a matte colour.
Dang, I guess I just missed the engine deck, will redo that, thanks!

Well done marek....
you may have been absent from modeling for a while but your enthusiasm seems to have been bottled up and has now exploded .
nice work allround ,as a ruskie modeler its somtimes hard to make a green T72 interesting ,also the base looks like snow fantastic!
wish people would give newbes a break ,we all have to start somewhere.
i have been stockpiling T72 updates for the last 18 months while i build a workshop for moulding and casting...cant wait to get started.
hope you will do more russian subjects and take the criticism with a pinch of salt,
snow would not melt on an engine deck untill its hot, maybe your crew have just started up there engine!

DJ, the tank is the Revell/Zvezda/DML T-72 EDZ version.
Stephen, thanks! And believe, me you will see a lot more ruskie models, I'm a bit of a ruskie fan aswell.

I was thinking about entering this in the July DMOM contest, but would this tank be allowed with this base?
