hello
This is a cry for help... does any one know of any good photos
of british infantry in iraq on the net ? Need good uniform and webbing reference for a future project.Have been on the mod site but its a bit of a mixed bag.

try some goggle immage search. You will find very good Photos. Or take a look at Military Photos.net It´s a great side for all kind of Information. There a very good Photos to find. If you are looking for SAS or something in this direction use the search engine at Military Photos. You will have to search a liitle bit and look at some posts but I have found many great Photos for my Vietnam Figure Ideas. Or have a look at reenactment sides. Some of them are a real treasure.

Do a search of Getty Images for "British Iraq"..........you'll find plenty of images.

Do you mean the defence image database ?? If not, it does have some good photos if you search for the right thing.....

Agreed. Basra is a good search term but you'll still have to wade through some armor pictures.

Are you looking for early war uniforms or current?

basra works too paul but im looking for some early war(iraq) pics before troops
started wearing the american style body armour .some close ups of uniforms would be good showing details like the ammo waistcoats (those things made out of netting withe the plastic fastners). not really hot on infantry eqipments tanks is my thing

I'm guessing that you're looking for what is called web gear or a load bearing system.
