Tomek,
Brilliant - love the foliage, the bunker and the way the Marines are making their way in the assault...
I also would like to know how you did the foliage and ground work...SUPER job.

Outstanding work Tomek!!! You can feel the tension in the air and almost here the one marine yelling " Lite it up"!!! Your ground work is top notch, Great Job,

Hi Tomek
Great dio. Love the vegetation .... both the live and the dead leaves on top of the bunker. Good idea giving the flame thrower to the standing guy also.

I’m very happy you like it.
For low grass I used static grass and some moss. High grass is made of old brush.
For bigger vegetation I used plastic plants. You can find a lot of them in florist’s.
I also collected little plants on meadow close to my house. Some of them are dried and ready to use. I also found plants that I had to put in glycerin for 2-3 days. After this you can use it in your dioramas.
Palm leaves are made of paper. I bought some of them, and I made a palm tree. I wanted to cover a roof of the bunker but I had no leaves left, so I used Auto-Cad to draw leaves. Than I printed it, and cut them using scissors.
Marines were painted by mix of 30 and 72 Humbrol enamels. I painted Uniform of Japanese soldier using mix of khaki, brown, and green but I don’t remember numbers of paints. I also used oils.

Gday Tomek
I really think this is beautiful in so far as the groundwork you have produced! (The scene itself is a little more sombre, I'm sure you'll agree...)
Kudos to the talent here on Armorama and to you for putting it to good work!
I love the composition you have achieved.
Well done all around
