Built for the Sherman Campaign. Bits and pieces from spares boxes. Upper hull had to lengthened by about 1/4 ".
Makes a different subject not normally seen.

Before painting.

Finished product
Hope you all like it.

C'mon Doug! You know we want better photos than that!
Must have been an interesting build with the late low bustle turret and fittings on an early cast hull... What put you on to this as a build?

Doug-- looks good, but the photos are too dark to appreciate your work.

Sorry for the dark photos. Have not perfected my picture taking skills.
Why Brazilian?
I am interested in building Shermans/ variants as used by anyone! On deck I have a New Zealand, an Argentine, an Egyptian (2nd one), a South African (another spares box queen ), a Bosnian, a Brit , a Chileanand even an American variant.
Built German, Peruvian, Polish (X2), Canadian (X3, WW II + Korea), Chinese, Pakistani , Israeli (X4), Egyptian, Ugandan, USMC ,a bunch of U.S. Army and now a Brazilian.
So many users, so little time!!

Doug,
Your Sherman looks pretty good. However, you need to adjust the markings! The turret roundel should be rotated 90° counterclockwise so the the three stars line up from lower left to upper right. Take a look at the vehicle at the Rio de Janeiro armor museum:

Looking at the markings, I assume you used my Decalcomaniacs! DM-003 Brasilian AFV's (revised) sheet?

Georg

ARGH!! Just goes to show you two eyes are better than one.(did the decaling just before my cataract surgery). Just have to fix it.
Thanx Georg, and yes it is from that decal sheet.

Doug,
I basicly built the same model a while back, but used the DML M4A1 early as the base. The running gear is from AFV Club, as are the tracks. The turret is ancient Armoured Brigade 105mm turret. The tools and antenna are from Formations and the barrel I turned on my lathe. The decals, of course are from Decalcomaniacs! Not a bad little model. Here are some pictures:

PS- I think the PE was from Eduard and the cupola was from Tiger Model Designs (their clear resin one).

Carl,
Thats was my model, not Doug's. His pics are the forst ones, mine are the second. Didn't want to cause any confusion.
