Am I missing the dio pics somewhere? I've seen some very nice 1/35 dios with crashed planes in them but have not built one myself. I've always read where 1/32 planes are typically used next to 1/35 armor and look comparable to the naked eye. Dan Capuano has a GREAT Stalingrad one here in the features called "Street Fight".

Could you confirm is this is the dio you are referring to? Psychic abilities aren't working too well today... sun spots and solar winds affect them from time to time

Hi Anthony

The scale is not exactly perfect, but the difference is very minor and I do not think anybody will notice.

There are quite a lot of helicopters in 1/35 scale, so these will fit perfect. Other than that you probably have to go for 1/32.

Hope this helps

I would think the diorama is 1/48 since both the vehicles and the plane are available in that scale. For me 1/32 mixed with 1/35 never looks right.
just my two euro cent

It does seems like a very small scale. But it is obvious that the historical accuracy is out of question.
Oh, now I see! I guess, it was shot in '41, but they found it in '44 during operation "Bagration". Well, this plane is in a very good shape after 3 years in the swamp...

Hi
Yes I saw this at last years Euromilitaire and I remember it as a stunning piece and done in 1/35.

I don't remember looking at the plane and thinking it looked out of scale, to big, or as criticised by another looking wrong for that time laying undiscovered.

In any case the overall quality, attention to detail of the whole diorama more than makes up for any nitpicking some may level at a particular area of this fine work.

The plane may well have been scratch built using a 1/32 as a guide.

I think unless you can find a subject at 1/35 then it would be better to down scale to 1/48 as there is so much to choose from as regards planes, and the AFV choices are not to bad either.

Alan
