Dear all,

After the M1A2, here's another resin kit. This time, it is the Verlinden V-100 Commando, which I ordered together with my M1A2 Abrams. When it arrive, there are a few problems. First of all, the driver's hatch was missing. The hinges of the commander's hatch were also broken and the models is close to bare. So, I decide to do some scratch building myself, which I attempted for the 1st time in my life.

The driver's hatched was scratched built from plastic card while the hinges of the commander's hatch is made from plastic strips.

I had to add in some details to make the model more lively. The jerry can holder is from Hauler, the jerry can from Tamiya, the tools rack was scratch built from plastic strip, the side mirrors are punched out plastic card glued to copper wires. The tow shackles are spares from my former Sherman projects.

After painting and weathering, This is what I get.
