Does anyone have a good scratchbuild method for making the clear water bottles, like Aquafina, Dasani, etc? Of for that matter, an aftermarket source?

I did do a couple searches on the forum and didn't find any techniques or sources, but if I missed something I apologize!

TIA!

You could try stretched clear sprue. The problem would be consistency and quality. A better solution is a very good after market source in Accurate Armour from Scotland. They have modern water bottles and ship all over the world.

Here are some links to the water bottles in particular:

clear water bottles

blue water bottles

green water bottles

I've used these before and they're very good.

You're welcome, I'm sure you'll be pleased with them. Make sure to use decal solvent (I use Solvaset) so the markings snuggle down nicely to the contours of the bottle.

Here's some snapshots of a couple of them 'in action' that I've used on my models...

Let me know how they work out for you....

ive read about putting clear sprue into a dremel tool and use it as a lathe . so its either pay for already made bottles or pay for a dremel tool . your choice

These are the best two options that I know other than if you like to build modern kits ,almost all Academy kits come with a clear sprue of bottles.
