Hi folks!

I'm currently working on a Summer 42 Stalingrad dio. I have a figure of a Russian soldier wearing a quilted "Telogreika" jacket and regular uniform pants that I'd like to use. I myself would reckon that wearing a quilted jacket in the Russian summer would be way to hot for must combatant. I've searched the net to find out wether or not some soldiers could have worn "Telogreika" jackets in the summertime. All I found was a set of figures call "Russian snipers, summer 1942", where one of the figures is wearing an open "Telogreika".

Anyway, would it be realistic to place a guy in a "Telogreika" in a summer dio...?

hope someone can help me

Ole

ps. I know this isn't really armor related...

Probably not. Those things are really warm. Maybe on a very cold night, though...

P.S.But there are enough photos of soldiers wearing these jackets in summer too.

I have searched my many images of Russian troops and could only find one where some troops are wearing the Tologreika during a march across the Steppe in the height of summer, the column has a mixed array of uniform as would be common with Russian troops. As in your image the jacket is worn open to allow some ventilation.

So it is possible but i suppose rare.

You're welcome! Any time! This is the link to the complete uniform page. Note, that uniform shown only up to 1945.
