On the production version, there are no optics in the box. It has electronic gear in the TOW box, now known as the BAB (Bradley Armored Box). It is a standard TOW box with the rear end blanked off with a sheet of steel. The only external difference between a standard Bradley and an M7 BFIST is the two additional antennas on the rear light guards, a cable spool on top of the right sponson box, and the blanked off BAB. Otherwise, it looks the same.

Here is an M7A2 B-FIST I did a while ago.

There are pics of an M7A3 B-FIST at Prime Portal under M2 Bradley in Iraq pics. It has 1 CAV 1-82F bumper #s and is listed simply as an M2.

The night and interior pics, and some of the other pics on the same page are not an M7A3 though, but a standard M2A3s.

Hi Gino

thanks for the discription, that helps with a few other things as well.
its the early version im after, ( 3ID )

as the Bfst would take on the companys number recognition signs, then the 2 bradleys that are in Robert buriks fine book on the 'thunder run'. page 4 and 25 ( crackshot) are Bfsts. also helps with the fact that they have very little crew kit on the sides compared with all the other infantry bradleys.
would you agree?
